This kitchen extension and renovation called for a simple aesthetic which separated the kitchen and formal dining whilst creating additional seating in the kitchen area.
It features a matt glass door with a feature glass splashback adding a dash of colour. Tall bespoke storage cupboards and open shelving at the end of the sink run have been constructed to conceal a structural steel support pillar. This bespoke area uses specialist glass to match the cabinetry doors.
Black Sensa granite has been used for the upstands and to create a raised worktop behind the sink, atop storage which opens in to the dining room. This material was then mirrored on the special half-moon island seating area. The island setaing was dropped down below the worktop height to ensure comfortable informal dining.
The design includes: Phillip Stark taps by Grohe, Quooker boiling water tap and Wolf appliances.
